CHRISTMAS Gift-Giving and Mission Opportunities

Please bring gifts to the the church by this Sunday December 16th!

Each Christmas, an important part of how we celebrate is to provide gifts for more than 200 children and adults through church partnerships in Newark and Elizabeth.  Questions?  Ellie Lesperance

The House of Mercy Mission’s Christmas gift program provides (unwrapped) gifts for the Early Childhood Center of the North Ward.  You will get a tag with the name, age and gender of a child (approximately 4 years old). We suggest providing 3 age appropriate gifts totaling approximately $30.  We will place the gifts for each child in white shopping bags decorated with Christmas ribbons. Popular toy suggestions from Open Door: Doc McStuffins or Paw Patrol themed items, unicorn themed anything, play-doh, duplo legos, cars with ramps and / or roads to roll them on, dress up clothes are always popular.

· The Greater Abyssinian Baptist Church Christmas Gift program provides (wrapped) gifts to the children of their congregation.  You will take a tag with a child’s name and age, with specific gift requests on the tag (normally costing $30 or less).

· The Giving Tree for St. Joseph Social Service Center provides new warm top and pants for its recipients. Please take a tag, purchase a gift of warm clothing for the person listed and return the (unwrapped) gift in large Christmas bag with the family ID tag to Fellowship Hall.
