Vision and Mission

Wyoming Presbyterian Church is called by God to be a
caring, inclusive community.

Our mission is to reflect God’s unconditional love and
put our faith into action.

At Wyoming Presbyterian Church, we are a

family of choice, first because God has invited us into this fellowship and second, by the way we
care for each other. Those two gifts create
community. Are you looking for a place to make friends, to have a family of care behind you, a place to belong? Maybe you belong here. As believers, we trust in the

  • unconditional love of Christ, also called grace. At the same time we pray the words of his disciple, Thomas, “Lord, help my unbelief.” Do you need a place to grow in faith and address doubt without judgement? This is a significant part of being
  • inclusive. We typically think of the way we categorize people and to be inclusive is to welcome all people regardless of how we might describe ourselves or each other. Indeed, our church strives to reflect, “a new openness in its own membership, becoming in fact as well as in faith a community of all people of all ages, races, ethnicities, abilities, genders, and worldly conditions, made one in Christ by the power of the Spirit, as a visible sign
of the new humanity.” (PCUSA, Book of Order, 2025-2027)

Inclusivity is more than that as well. We strive to hear different points of view with respect, to expect the Holy Spirit to reform us according to God’s Word and word, through the priesthood of all believers. That means each of us has a responsibility to bring our faith and questions to each other and the Lord that we may learn together. This is one way we

  • put our faith into action. We also commit to loving beyond our WPC community through our service to our neighbors. This service we call mission. Check our mission page for more information about how WPC strives to serve the people with food insecurity and hunger, people in need of shelter, and those seeking hope. You are welcome to share in this work. Watch for upcoming events and sign-ups.

Our staff includes the Interim Pastor, Rev Bev, our Director of Music Ministry, Steven, our Director of Children’s Music, Ebony, and the Open Door Nursery School Director, Alethea, and the Sexton, Erick. In addition, we are interviewing for an Adminsitrative Assistant.

Our worship follows a weekly order of service, available on the home page. In worship, we offer songs and prayers of thanksgiving, read words from the Bible, hear a teaching about the lesson, and consider the ways we respond, put what we’ve learned into action. We hope that you will consider joining us each and every Sunday for our worship at 10 a.m. followed by our Fellowship hour where you will be sure to find warm Christian fellowship, hot coffee, good conversation and a little snack to satisfy your sweet-tooth!
