Presbyterian churches are governed by a board called the Session which is made up of elected Ruling Elders and the Teaching Elder (minister or pastor). Below is a list of these church officers. They were called by God, nominated by the congregation, ordained and installed for a lifetime calling and a 3-year term of service to the church.
In addition, many Presbyterian churches recognize the calling of Deacons and in some churches establish a Board of Deacons to serve. They, too, are gifted and called first by God, and then by the voice of the church, to be ordained and installed for their lifetime calling and a 3-year term of service to the church.
Finally, all PC(USA) churches follow the regulations of their state to be incorporated as a non-profit religious organization. As such we have a Corporate Board and Officers.

Elders
Ruling elders have responsibilities in leadership, governance, and worship. They discern God’s calling for the life of a congregation and measure its faithfulness to that call.
