Sharing God’s unconditional and inclusive love with all people lies at the core of Pastor Heather’s life. She is a “heart and mind” pastor who equally enjoys getting to know people and being challenged intellectually. Her goal is to make the world a better place than she found it.

Heather received a Bachelor and Master of Music from Johns Hopkins University, the Peabody Conservatory of Music. In her first career, Heather was a music teacher at a thriving independent school. She later received a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA. Heather pursued advanced graduate work as a biblical scholar at Emory University and has several publications in biblical studies. She has served congregations in North Carolina and Virginia.

Outside of the pulpit, Heather loves to explore the world by traveling and hiking. She also enjoys cooking, politics, a night at the symphony or a broadway show, chocolate, and spending time with family and friends.
