WHAT: We’ll gather in the Sanctuary at 10:00 am on CLB Sunday, for a brief Worship service, then – ‘Leave the Building’ to engage in several  family friendly Mission Projects for all ages.

WHAT NOW:  Below, please find the current projects that are slated for CLB and their leaders. Do you have an idea of a project you would like to lead? We’d love to hear about it!!                                        

Prayer Shawl Ministry                        
Come, help knit prayer shawls – to be given as a blessing to others – a comfort during a time of healing or loss – or for those celebrating a new birth, life transition, time of recovery.   Knitting needles and yarn provided.  The event will run for approximately 2 hours  (10:30 – 12:30) or as long as you want to knit!

MEND: “Stuff the Bus – The Green Bean” : 
WPC volunteers will accept community donations and ‘Stuff the Bus’ from 10:30 to 2:30 at a location TBD.                                       

South Mountain Reservation Conservation: 
Join us as we help restore and maintain the beauty of the South Mountain Reservation by clearing invasive species and planting.                                                     

Singing for Joy and Fellowship: Singers will perform a short program for people in need of visitation (nursing home, hospital, etc.) Some rehearsal will be needed.

“Sunday Sundae” at Isaiah House: Join us to serve the people in our surrounding community at Isaiah House, whose mission since 1988 is to reduce  homelessness and hunger in Essex County.  WPC will host  a Sunday Sundae time and craft project for families.  TIME: 10:30 am 

Animal Welfare Mission:  In partnership with Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter we will host a ‘Pet Spa’ and Animal Adoption event on our  lawn. Community dogs can enjoy a shampoo, pedicure or massage.  All services will have a requested donation fee that will go directly to Mt. Pleasant. Some wonderful dogs and cats available for adoption.  A “wish list” of supplies for people who wish to donate critical items for shelter needs. This event will run for 4 hours: 10:30-2:30                                                                       

Bake Sale for Mission of Hope Haiti: Yummy treats will be for sale on the lawn to benefit MOHH.

Visiting our Homebound Seniors at Winchester Gardens           

Kids Helping Kids: Shop for supplies and fill backpacks with school supplies for disadvantaged children. Plus, bake cookies in the kitchen and write notes for HOMM lunch bags
